Jakarta Urban Challenge 2015 is a competition organized by New Cities Foundation and Connect4Climmate which aims to encourage young people to participate in solving traffic problems in Jakarta. With the Jakarta Urban Challenge 2015, the New Cities Foundation and Connect4Climmate invite students and young people to submit proposals for project plans aimed at solving mobility and traffic problems in Jakarta. This challenge will reward IDR 200 Million rewards for the most effective solution for: Reducing traffic congestion, Reducing air pollution, Reducing GHG emissions, and Improving security and accessibility.

The New Cities Foundation and Connect4Climate invites university students and entrepreneurs in Indonesia to propose project proposals to address Jakartaís mobility and traffic challenges. The Challenge rewards the most effective solutions that:
How can average commuting times in Jakarta be reduced? How can carpooling or ridesharing be encouraged? How can public transport use be increased? What new modes of environmentallyfriendly transportation can be introduced? What measures can help non-motorized vehicles and pedestrians move across the city safely and quickly?
Applications open on March 16, 2015. Applicants should submit a maximum 1000-word project proposal, including: project vision, mission and description; expected impact; team presentation; relevant visuals and financial projections. Proposals should be no more than 10MB in file size. Applications must be sent in English by email to: email@example.com
Three finalists will be selected to present their proposals to a prestigious international judging panel at the New Cities Summit 2015 in Jakarta, June 9-11.
