International Competition | This Design Product Competition is held by Himpunan Mahasiswa Mahasiswa Teknik Industri (HMTI) Universitas Gadjah Mada, Yogyakarta. CHRONICS 2015 a design product competition based on ergonomics and innovation which is held by CHRONICS has been successfully held for six times in the national level and one time in the ASEAN level. And now, Chronics 2015 will challenge undergraduate students from all over country of South East Asia region to participate.

CHRONICS 2015 is a design product competition based on ergonomics and innovation which is held by Himpunan Mahasiswa Mahasiswa Teknik Industri (HMTI) Universitas Gadjah Mada. CHRONICS has been successfully held for six times in the national level and one time in the ASEAN level named Product Design Development Competition ( PD2C 2006 ), Product Design Development Competition ( PDDC 2008 ), Challenge On Product Design and Ergonomics (CHRONICS 2010), CHRONICS 2011, CHRONICS 2012, CHRONICS 2013, and the ASEAN level competition CHRONICS 2014. And now, we will challenge undergraduate students from all over country of South East Asia region to participate in CHRONICS 2015.
"Supporting Equipment for Sport"
Sports are not only seen as a way to keep the body in shape, but also has grown into a lifestyle of modern society, especially in the Southeast Asia region. Community awareness about the importance of supporting equipment for sports nowadays is not only about the aspect of its functions and design, but also the aspect of ergonomics in them. It creates an opportunity in which they grow new industries where this idea complies the spirit to welcome ASEAN Economic Community (AEC) in 2015.
Supporting Equipment is defined as a product to support sport activity. By using or not using the product, related sport activity will still be running. It aims to support health performance and entertainment to a person who uses the product.
Gender and Age are not limitations.
Sport is defined as every physical activity which is done on the ground including athletic, gymnastic, games sport, and extreme sport.
Output the product will be used by a person without physical disabilities.
The outline of CHRONICS 2015 can be divided into 3 parts:
In the qualification round, the team that will join the competition must send a mini-proposal to the committee. The mini-proposal contains a brief product description along with the advantages and also the innovative and ergonomics point of view.
The Semifinals will be held in Yogyakarta. Semifinal round will be followed by top 15 teams that get through from the qualification round. This round is mainly about the product presentation and prototype test.
The final round will be held in Yogyakarta, and the Expo will be followed by the top 15 teams that will exhibit their product design and have the opportunity to communicate the product to a wide audience. In the Final Round, there will be announced the best 7 teams to participate in the next challenge which are revised product presentation and challenge on attracting investors.
There will be a financial aid up to USD 450 for maximum of 5 teams eligible to qualify in the final round. It is not mandatory but all teams are welcomed to apply by fulfilling this requirements:
